Topic: Meta-Fiction Wins an Internet

I was trolling through TV Tropes, reading the Gunslinger article, when I noticed the following passage, under Webcomics:

"Jeremy Coinsnap the Lone Gunman from Meta-Fiction is both a parody and a straight example of a Type A. He flips coins and uses them to ricochet bullets at improbable angles, but gets confused when he doesn't have any coins to use. This leads to the question, "How am I supposed to fight using only a gun and a lot of ammo!?" "

Note that Jeremy Coinsnap the Lone Gunman also links to the "Overly Long Name" article.

Congratulations to the author, RWill! The internet has found fit to mention your creation (unless you put that up yourself, in which case....well, aren't you clever).

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. There goes my day.

I did write that entry, but only after seeing that someone had entered just the name "Jeremy Coinsnap the Lone Gunman" with a link to the now-defunct Newtrul domain. Being a dedicated Troper, I decided to expand on it.

I dunno, it was probably Zid. He's a pretty die-hard fan for... reasons I can't begin to comprehend.

What's the name of the word for things not being the same always. You know. I'm sure there IS one. Isn't there?
There must be a word for it... the thing that lets you know time is happening. IS there a word?

Heh. Free advertising innit. Who's Zid?

Re: Meta-Fiction Wins an Internet

He leaves comments on my blog every once in a while. He started following the comic back in the very beginning since we posted on the same forum a lot. I honestly don't know how he puts up with me.

And hey, there's no such thing as notability on TV Tropes.

Re: Meta-Fiction Wins an Internet

Maybe you should also put Jeremy Coinsnap the Lone Gunman in the "Ensemble Darkhorse" section, because he's clearly one of your most popular creations. Zweihander himself is funny, but...eh.

Re: Meta-Fiction Wins an Internet

Well, being the most popular character among, like, three people doesn't really qualify him for it. I myself can't really figure out why everyone likes him so much. Sure, he's more likable than Zweihander (I'm working on that, by the way), but he's just one joke! One joke!

Re: Meta-Fiction Wins an Internet

Granted, my favorite line among the Metafiction characters was the Michael Jackson one, which was Zweihander's, but JCTLG just has a certain undeniable charm.

Re: Meta-Fiction Wins an Internet

Personally, Freedom Justice is my favorite character. I actually think I'd rank Zweihander above Jeremy Coinsnap the Lone Gunman, cause even though he's a dickhead, he's a damn funny one. That "just planning my day" line from when he was eating the Stratego pieces was awesome.
